Short answers to the questions brokers ask most. If something isn't here, email [email protected] — we answer same business day.
Markout watches the Crexi and LoopNet listings you care about and tells you the moment anything changes — a price drop, a status flip to "under contract," a listing that quietly went off-market, broker re-assignments. It runs entirely in your browser. Each morning you get an email recap of every change on every listing you're tracking.
Crexi and LoopNet are built to show you new listings. They are not built to tell you what changed on listings you already watch. Markout fills that gap.
Yes — free during public beta. If we introduce paid plans later, we'll give you advance notice and you'll always have the option to stop using Markout instead of accepting a charge.
Yes. Same engine, same morning report. Markout watches both platforms; if a property is listed on both, you'll see both snapshots in the listing's history.
No. Markout never logs in for you. It only sees pages you have personally opened in your own browser, the same way any extension does. We have no way to access Crexi or LoopNet without your session.
Every Crexi or LoopNet listing you open gets fingerprinted in the background automatically. You can also paste a search URL on the setup page — Markout will walk the entire result list and start tracking every listing on it in one move.
Every two hours while you're on your machine, plus the moment you open your laptop, switch back to Chrome, or click over to a Crexi tab. Most changes are caught within an hour of the broker publishing them.
A single email each morning summarizing every change on every tracked listing in the last 24 hours — price drops, status changes, listings that went off-market. One email per day, no notification fatigue, and on days when nothing changed you get a one-line "no changes today" heartbeat so you know Markout is still working.
The structured fields of Crexi and LoopNet listing pages you open — address, price, status, sqft, broker, etc. — plus which Markout features you used. We never collect your Crexi or LoopNet password, never read any other website, never sell your data, and never share it with advertisers. Full detail: privacy policy.
Cloudflare D1 in the United States, tied to a random install ID — not your name, email, or IP. If you turn off cloud sync in Settings, everything stays in your browser only.
Uninstall the extension, or email [email protected] from the address tied to your install. We remove every record keyed to that install within 30 days.
Four common causes, in order: (1) you haven't completed the email setup in the welcome flow; (2) your laptop was closed overnight so the recheck never ran (v0.7.5 fixes most of this); (3) the email landed in spam — search "Markout"; or (4) you genuinely had zero tracked-listing changes overnight, in which case we send a one-line "no changes today" instead.
Click "Sync now" in the banner. If it doesn't clear, you're either offline or our backend is having a moment. Reach out and we'll check.
Markout only declares a listing off-market after two consecutive failed re-checks, but Crexi occasionally rewrites a URL or returns a transient error that fools us. The system self-audits: as soon as the listing snapshots successfully again, you'll get a "back on the market" event and the history record corrects itself.
Yes. Each install gets its own ID; when you sign in with the same email on a second computer, both installs sync into one account so your tracked-listing pipeline shows up everywhere.

Click the Markout icon → Suggest at the bottom of the popup. It goes straight to Reed. We read everything.
